Making a Pond + Deciding What We Grow day at The White House, Becontree Sunday 17 February 2019

Making a Pond + Deciding What We Grow Sunday 17 February 2019 1 – 4pm

Spiralseed are delighted to be collaborating with They Are Here in supporting a series of gardening and planning events at The White House, a new public space for art and social activity on the Becontree Estate in Dagenham.

Across 2019 we will be establishing ‘Friends of Beacon Garden’, a group dedicated to caring for and developing a new community garden at The White House. If you’d like to be involved, learn a new skill or simply meet your neighbours please join us for any or all of these sessions.

No experience necessary. Children over 10 are welcome accompanied by a guardian. Snacks and drinks provided.

Gardener and permaculture expert Graham Burnett will demonstrate how to make a pond in this hands-on-workshop. We will also draw up a planting plan for the coming months.

This activity is part of the artists ‘They Are Here‘ residency and commission to realise a community garden in Dagenham at The White House.

You’re welcome to just drop in but it would be helpful email to whitehouse@createlondon.org to confirm your attendance.
